How to Prepare

  1. Remove makeup, nail polish, and artificial nails prior to your appointment, as these can limit visibility of certain areas.

  2. Put your hair up in order to visualize your face and neck.

  3. Avoid heavy lotions, oils, or self-tanners on the day of your visit, as these may interfere with dermoscopic evaluation and imaging.

  4. Wear comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing, as a full skin examination requires access to all areas of the skin.

  5. Bring a list of medications and note any personal or family history of skin cancer.

  6. Make note of any moles or spots that are new, changing, or concerning so we can address them during your visit.

  7. Arrive on time to ensure your appointment can proceed as scheduled.

  8. Bring your health card as medically necessary biopsies require an OHIP card.

If you have any questions before your appointment, our team is happy to assist. We aim to make your visit as comfortable, respectful, and reassuring as possible.
